DAY 6
Work up this morning and felt good and went exploring this great Town of Kalgoolie for breakfast and was immediately approached by the police with this Wanted Dead or Alive poster. Apparently he chopped his Mother up and is on the loose. I looked at it and said to myself, "Ive seen that guy somewhere"Anyway there where happy to talk to me and I'm on the Channel 7 news at 6pm so have a look :-)

In disguise |
Had breaky and walked the streets and was asked if i had a ciggy or loose change about a hundred times. Then i came across a guy i had met a long time ago and i sat on his knee and he told me a story.
Take care …and may the Lord be with you.
Take care …and may the Lord be with you.
Don't you love it!
ReplyDeleteDownloaded and just finished watching Channel 7 news from Kal, there was this guy with a red 'T' shirt that kept showing up on the screen but then I think Grant was there calling him self 'Bob', well he talked like Grant and looked like Grant?
ReplyDeletehttps://au.news.yahoo.com/thewest/video/watch/25214055/hunt-for-escaped-killer-intensifies/
You just gotta love it!!
And I read SciFi, when the real thing is happening right under our very noses.
ReplyDelete"Grant has seen things you people wouldn't believe..."
Now for the train trip...
yep
ReplyDeleteSame tee shirt. Have a look at the shoulders.
And who takes the pics. I ask?
Thanks Bruce...we came in 5 mins late and missed the guy in the red T Shirt who appeared to be pushing other people out of the way to get in front of the cameras....
ReplyDelete"...and may the Lord be with you"? I reckon I've got you figured out Kelly. You've converted to Mormon, bought a white shirt and blue slacks in Kal, and you'll be riding into Melbourne with your Gideons Bible stolen from Questa Casa and you'll be stopping off door-knocking along the way. That's the real plan, eh?
ReplyDeleteWell I checked the tracker and its got you getting on the train 9 hrs. ago, around midnight.... I checked the map out into the desert but alias no signal, we can just wait Bloggers till he comes out of his 'cone of silence'. Its just like waiting for the moon shot to come around from the other side of the moon (or Nevada desert)!
ReplyDeleteWe are all still here Big Guy......
"He lives, he lives" Loongana on the railway track. Houston we have contact!!!
ReplyDeleteHa Ha Love your Work
Well, who would believe it?!?! Was down in Melbourne with Barbie yesterday and watched the DVD you sent of your 2012 cycle around the paddock. Made me remember some old photos I've come across of Uncle Jim and that I should send copies of them across to you. Being too late to ring Jeanette, I thought I'd look up your old blog and see if there were any contact details.....lo and behold, what should I find but Grant off on another epic journey!!! Having ditched the long straight stretch for the train, there might be time to catch up for that lunch date you mentioned last time!!!
ReplyDelete_______________________________ - that's what the tracker said :)
ReplyDeleteYou are in the land of the Port Power..... Now you really need to Praise the Lord!
ReplyDeleteThe sleepy gold mining town of Kal is alive & pumping, not only is there a full scale manhunt on but a ' serial pest ' in a red tee has penetrated channel 7s coverage. Lol
ReplyDeleteI make it the 9th and late afternoon in Victoria.Thursday.
ReplyDeleteThe question is, "How come the train is not on its track?"
The tracker shows it just North of the railway line?
Does Grant get out to set the Tracker???
Now that's what I'm talking about.
ReplyDeleteThe tracker is fine and at this rate he will be drinking beer in Mildura on Sunday.
Lins you have to get with the package, ofcourse he gets out to let the satellite see him, otherwise it wouldn't know where he is?
God Speed
Hi Grant, excellant stories, pics and comments once again cant wait to hear how 3rd class on the train went
ReplyDeleteProblem time. Friday 10th at 9AM.
ReplyDeleteAs he heads South from Portguta, going like a bat out of hell, he looks like being in Mildy by this arvo. We are only 500k away.
Jude and I are off to Tumut tomorrow...bad luck he changed HIS plans. Now we are all in a tiz re Great One being here too soon. Ideas any one?
Coming into Crystal Brook, off the Highway, looking good. Malaysia is watching.......
ReplyDeleteLyW
Rang the "blue arse fly" just past Crystal Brook and going strong. Told him to SLOW DOWN.
ReplyDeleteBy the looks of it, you're heading straight for the Clare Country Club, I don't recall you packing your golf gear :)
ReplyDeleteIt's not his golf clubs that he's packin'
DeleteOvernight at the club.? It's been a bloody long day big guy but we have been following you and doing 'street views' . Wheat country, bit different than the highway,
ReplyDeleteTake care and slow down and blogg for the Team?
Cheers
I say mate, I say ol' son, I say...I'm lost for words. Tracker tells me that was 18 hours and 200Km on the road starting at 1am, straight after 24 hours sitting up in the train. Look after the mind and body ol' son. You want to be able to enjoy the rest of the journey - you're into the good part soon. Take an R&R day in Clare and blog how you're feeling - one word will probably say it all.
ReplyDeleteeh, who is this,do i no u,.wot ya talkin ubot. IMM AH oK.EH. is that u jim k, :-)
ReplyDeleteAre you going to make use of the westerly wind to get over the ranges?
